Although I‘ve never wanted to become a full-time software developer, the idea of writing code always attracted me. If you have tried to learn coding by yourself, you know: It’s a tough project.

I jumped from tutorial to tutorial. From online course to online course. From Coursera to Udemy up to Udacity and back to YouTube. Only to understand the basics of an easy programming language like Java.

Most of the time, I just gave up after one or two weeks and laid the project down. Why?

  1. I didn’t have a real goal — my goal was learning to code, but what does that even mean?
  2. I didn’t study consistently and therefore forgot all the learned materials. I had to start from scratch every single time.

Solving Problems 🧱

As the Corona lockdown started I had a lot of free time and didn’t know how to use it. At this time, I discovered Flutter. Flutter makes it (relatively) easy to develop mobile apps for both — Android and IOS. It is based on the programming language Dart.
